Experiences such as an incurable illness, palliative care, hospice care, and death always have an impact on not only the patient, but also the patient’s loved ones. Those close to a person with an incurable illness are there with them – providing support, but also in need of support. Palliative care and hospice care include support for those close to the patient as well.
