Using different applications to analyse blood sugar results

In addition to, or instead of, the self-monitoring diary, you can transfer the blood sugar test results from the meter onto your computer or an app on your mobile device.

You can get more diverse, accurate and useful information about the blood sugar test results with the help of applications or cloud services.

At home or at the appointment, you can download the data on the blood glucose meter onto your computer or a mobile diary in an app on your mobile device. Some of the meters automatically transfer the results to an app and a cloud server. You can also share the results with the treatment centre before an appointment or some other form of contact. It makes it easier to monitor factors pertaining to the treatment, such as meals, physical exercise, insulin doses, drug therapy and the amount of carbohydrates.

You can talk to your nurse about the possibilities and available options in terms of downloading the results.

Usually, a mobile application also enables you to store the results of weight monitoring, activity tracking and blood pressure tests. You can discuss the services used by the treatment centre with your nurse.

There are several good applications available, e.g., Balance, DiabetesM, Glooko Diasend, myLife ja MySugr.
