Päivystyshelppi

You can use the Finnish-language Päivystyshelppi service to help evaluate your own need for care. Päivystyshelppi can guide you and provide advice with acute health issues prior to contacting a health care professional.

The Päivystyshelppi allows you to quickly find pertinent instructions on how to deal with your particular ailment. The instructions contain both general information and guidance on when and where to seek treatment. If the ailment is not so serious as to require contacting your local health care centre or the emergency department, the instructions contain guidance for managing and monitoring your symptoms.

For personal guidance or a more specific assessment of your symptoms, Päivystyshelppi can direct you to other guidance services or, in situations that call for urgent help, to call the emergency number 112.

The Päivystyshelppi service is available online 24 hours a day. Using the service does not require registration. All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an Internet connection.
