Drugs and diabetes

Drug use has an overall effect on life management. It may also result in neglect of diabetes treatment.

From a health perspective, no narcotics can be considered safe. Drug use affects the central nervous system and may lead to a state of poisoning in the brain. Different drugs have different effects and they can be unpredictable.

Drug use further increases the risk of neglecting diabetes treatment. Forgetting to inject insulin leads to insulin deficiency and may cause a dangerous case of ketoacidosis.
