Assessing the need for care

There is always a nurse on call who receives our patients and assess the need and urgency of care.

For evaluation of urgency and for organising treatment, the necessary information is entered into the computer system.

If there is no need for emergency treatment of your condition, you are advised to contact occupational health service or the local health care centre.

If your symptoms require urgent care, you are asked to wait in the waiting area until you are seen by a doctor or a nurse, or you are taken to a treatment and observation room.

In the treatment and observation unit or at a doctor’s or nurse’s consultation, tests may be taken and specialist physicians may review your condition.
