Information about the Emergency Hub

The Emergency Hub offers help, advice and guidance in sudden medical problems regardless of your location and time of the day.

The Emergency Hub is an eHealth service developed and designed by healthcare professionals. We help you make decisions about your treatment as well as provide information and instructions on what to do in the case of medical problems and introduce you to what happens at emergency rooms.

If you have sudden symptoms or an injury, the Emergency Hub has the tools to help you assess your or another patient’s need for care and find the nearest emergency room and pharmacy. The Emergency Hub also gives instructions on what to do in the case of an emergency and on basic first aid. You can take free online first aid courses available to all, which will help you develop your first aid skills and readiness to act in real emergencies.

The Emergency Hub is always open. You can search for information and use the tools wherever, whenever. All Emergency Hub services can be utilised by a smartphone, tablet or computer with an Internet connection.

The Emergency Hub Services have been designed and developed as a collaboration between medical professionals at university hospital districts as part of the Virtual Hospital 2.0 initiative, which is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. The Emergency Hub will be updated in the future with new, electronic tools for assessing the need for care and service guidance.
