The Emergency Outpatient Department for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases provides emergency care, treats patients by appointment and conducts follow-up checks. The clinic examines and treats patients of all ages with an ear, nose or throat disease or trauma that requires emergency care. The Emergency Outpatient Department for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases is open 24/7.
In acute cases, such as postoperative haemorrhage or serious illness, patients can attend the clinic without an appointment. In this case, it is advisable to call the clinic beforehand.
Inflammations in the oral cavity are typical problems treated at the clinic.
Registration and assessing the need for care
Patients register in the U lobby of the Surgical Hospital. At this stage, the patient’s personal details are checked.
Patients are seen in order of urgency. This is why the waiting times can vary regardless of the order of arrival.

Patient fees
Invoices for outpatient visits, care and doctor’s certificates are sent to your home address afterwards. Fees are based on the Act and Decree on Client Charges. Patients over the age of 15 are charged for no-shows and uncancelled outpatient or expensive imaging appointments.
Café, snack vending machines, ATM
The café is located in the lobby of the Surgical Hospital. The café is open Mon–Fri 7.45–16. Close on weekends and public holidays.
There is a drinks and snack vending machine in the emergency room.
There is no ATM at the hospital.
Parking
There are only a few parking bays within the Surgical Hospital area and parking fees apply. We recommend you use public transport to arrive at the unit.
