How to donate samples ?
Donating samples to a biobank is voluntary. If you visit the units of Hospital
District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) the hospital personnel can ask your
consent to collect your samples and personal data to Helsinki Biobank. You can
also receive the information leaflet and consent form by mail, along with the
appointment letter to visit the hospital. You can withdraw the consent and
prohibit further use of your samples and data at any time.
The Biobank samples can be taken during normal healthcare and medical
examinations, in various research projects or primarily for the biobank.
